EATING HOUSE 1849 Award-winning chef Roy Yamaguchi blends the simple flavours of a plantation town with modern haute cuisine at this restaurant at The Shops at Kukui‘ula, at Po‘ipū on the South Shore. Its name pays homage to restaurateur Peter Fernandez, who opened one of the first restaurants in Hawai‘i called the Eating House in the mid-1800s serving food soruced from local farmers, ranchers, foragers and fishermen. TIDEPOOLS Overlooking a lagoon filled with koi at the base of a waterfall at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, diners at Tidepools sit in thatched-roof bungalows and dine on dishes prepared by chef de cuisine Kevin Horan, who previously served as sous chef at the Michelin-starred Guy Savoy in Las Vegas.
